This project employs Survey: of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) data to study immigrant adaptation by exploring the unique wealth ownership patterns for those of Chinese ancestry, both within-group and in comparison to other groups. The project will describe how the economic well-being of the ethnic Chinese population has changed over time and will examine how government and private programs interact with one another, a primary purpose of the SIPP survey.
